Write a fortune in a character voice
Character Voice changes who appears to be speaking, not just whether a fortune is positive or negative. Pick a persona such as a noir detective, villain, philosopher, or passive-aggressive coworker, then add an optional topic like love, money, career, or the future. Leave the topic blank when you want the character to choose the direction and surprise you. Choose a voice for the audience
A dramatic villain can work as a party icebreaker, while a warm grandparent voice suits a message shared with family. Sarcastic or passive-aggressive styles land better when everyone knows the joke. If the result will be printed or posted publicly, choose a voice that still makes sense without extra context.
Refine without flattening the character
Generate a small batch, keep the line with the strongest point of view, and edit only the details that need to be clearer. Too much cleanup can turn every persona back into the same generic advice. The best result is short, recognizable, and still believable as something that character would say.
